Meeting Information

DATES

Meetings are structured based on participation. All involvement in the meetings is voluntary. No tasks are required. Tasks like setup & cleanup, minute taking, chairing, etc. is dependent on whoever volunteers to do each task.

Our regular meeting schedule is on the last Thursday of every month. So our next meeting is March 30th from 6:00 to 8:00pm

The regular date and time of our meetings and events will change based on your responses to our Community Consultation Survey. To fill out the survey, or find more information about it, click on the page called "Your Comments"

Online Participation

If you can't get to the meeting, you can skype into the meeting. Please email the Working Group ahead of time to arrange a skype call. 

In order to participate in decision making anonymously, a more closed, online process is available, but it is invite only. Contact genderdiverse.lamp@gmail.com for details (feel free to use an anonymous email). 

Accessibility & Directions

Elevator Directions (Physical Access): 

The building has an elevator which can be accessed at the accessible entrance next to the main entrance facing fifth street (it has a blue wheelchair sign). Once inside that entrance there will be a ramp. Go down that ramp and to the right you will see a door. Open that door (button available) and once you go through that door and down the ramp, the elevator will be on the left. 

NOTE: The door is locked after 5:00pm  and can be opened by pressing a buzzer to the reception desk.

To the Community Room

Once inside the elevator go to the third floor. The community room will be outside the elevator on the 3rd floor. Go straight and the door is on the right. It will be labelled with a sign.  

To Meeting Rooms 301 & 302:

Once on the third floor, for the most direct route, go straight and through the community room on the right. After going through the room past the kitchen and the washrooms you will see meeting rooms 301, 302, & 303. If the community room is closed or occupied, you may go around:

 

To go around from the elevator there is a door immediately on the right with a yellow and silver sign listing “Administration, Family Service Toronto, Speech Therapy, Meeting Rooms 301, 302, 303, and Washrooms” Go through that door and follow the hallways until you see a left turn past the printing and photocopying room. Turn left, go past the washrooms, and on your right you will see meeting rooms 301 & 302.

Directions from the Stairs: 
Go to the stairs directly across from the reception desk. Go up to the top floor and then turn right.

 

To the Community Room:

After turning right, make a left and you will see the Community Room.

To Meeting Rooms 301 & 302:

On your right you will see meeting rooms 301, 302, & 303. 

Options for Accessibility:

We can offer live typing in person or via skype for the hearing impaired. In the future as this committee and its resources grow, we hope to have better options available. 

We understand that as of now our options for accessibility are very limited. Stay tuned for improvements in accessibility as our community and resources grow. 

If there are any issues with the accessibility of this initiative please let us know through our anonymous survey by clicking [link coming soon], or on our page titled "Your Comments" We can use your feedback to advocate for funding to be allocated to accessibility.
